Victoria Tan, Co-President

Victoria is originally from Astoria, NY and is currently enjoying North Carolina's warmer weather. She graduated from Macaulay Honors College with degrees in Anthropology and Merchandise Marketing. While at Macaulay she fell in love with mock trial and decided to pursue a career in law. In her free time, she loves all things fashion, food, and travel.

Kimmi Pham, Co-President

Kimmi is from Baltimore, Maryland and came to Duke Law after studying English at Cornell University. This summer she interned at the Baltimore City State's Attorney's office. In her free time, Kimmi enjoys going on ice cream food tours and walking her mini schnauzer, Bertie.

Bethany Wong, Director of Communications

Bethany is originally from Houston, Texas. She graduated from Columbia University with a double-major in Art History and Economics and has previously interned at various museums and arts organizations in New York and Houston. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, visiting art museums, and photography.

Irene Kim, Vice President of Finance

Irene grew up in Southern California, and majored in Business Administration at Sogang University in Seoul, Korea.  She's interested in corporate law and enjoys oil painting and cooking Korean food.

Katie Wong, Director of Community Outreach

Katie was born in New York City and grew up in Port Jefferson, Long Island.  She graduated from Duke University in 2012 with a double major in English and Public Policy after having been a Duke basketball fan since childhood.  Believing that she would be a teacher for the rest of her life, she attended Columbia Teachers College to obtain a Master’s in English Education and taught for three years in New York City and Charlottesville, Virginia.  She fell in love with the law by accident and then decided to give this whole law school thing a try.  She loves law school, especially at Duke, surrounded by amazing colleagues and professors.  In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, hiking, watching ungodly amounts of TV, and cheering for the Duke basketball team. This past summer, she worked at Brooks Pierce and Wyrick Robbins, two Raleigh law firms.  She is excited to welcome you all to Durham and Duke Law and help you fall in love with this great city.

Sophia Tan, Vice President of Internal Relations  

Sophia grew up in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, where she also graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from Haverford College.  Prior to attending Duke Law, Sophia worked in Philadelphia as an office manager at a bilingual preschool and as a grantwriter in an education nonprofit.  Outside of school, Sophia enjoys cooking and baking.

Kelly Hamachi, Vice President of Professional Development

Kelly is originally from Mountain View, California. She attended UC Berkeley and majored in public health and minored in Asian American studies. At Duke she is pursuing a joint JD/MA in bioethics and science policy and is interested in health law. In her free time, Kelly loves going to yoga, eating acai bowls, and trying new restaurants.

Rui Ke, 2L Representative

Rui is originally from China. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from China University of Political Science and Law. She is also admitted to the Chinese Bar Association. Prior to Duke Law, Rui worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Beijing Office. She is interested in corporate law. In her free time, Rui enjoys Chinese martial arts, music and exploring cities.
